Head to head match up Kaleb went 12 for 17 180yds 4TDs 14 Carries for 205yds 1TD. Sophomore big dawg! Marcus Lewis was outmatched at the region meeting and most just giving Dalton his flowers for what he’s done these past 3 years. Dalton is a hell of a player but Kaleb Wyche had the better season, was a huge reason Varina won their region and led his team to the state championship game.

Varina was way more loaded last year and look how “bad” their offense was in 2023. They’re basically all sophomore/juniors this year and playing in the big game. They lost 10 starters from last year. Dalton is no doubt a legend himself but Dinwiddie wasn’t going 5-5 without him. Maybe 8-2 worst case but I still believe they’re favorited against Matoaca and Dale. It’s not a me vs Dalton thing, just believe any MVP awards should be based on individual performance and also where that player took their team..

Just like Travis Hunter vs Jeanty. I’m a huge Travis Hunter fan and he’s hands down a generational player but Boise ain’t in no playoff without Jeanty!

Yeah man he’s just supporting his team’s QB. Dalton was clearly the region B offensive MVP. I wouldn’t even be mad if he was offensive MVP of entire Class 4 because he’s that damn good. Sometimes you just gotta give flowers to people.
