Not being able to watch the UCLA game on TV, I decided to listen to AM570 KLAC out of Los Angeles for the opponent's viewpoint. Sometime during the 2nd half the two announcers began discussing whether Varnado would make it to the NBA. The color guy wasn't that impressed with JV and thought that he might make it to the next level in a reserve role. I swear the sumbitch called JV "Julius" several times. I guess Julius is Randy's cousin. These guys thought State was a good team, nothing special, and they were really pissed that UCLA didn't grow a sack and kick the **** out of us. Thank God for Jack and Jim.
By the way, with about 8 minutes left, the station stopped carrying the game and switched to a sports talk show about the Heisman.
