The kid from Marshall is tied with Jarvis with 95 blocks, but because Whiteside has played one less game he leads the nation with 5.6 blocks per game ( Varnado has 5.3). I would love to see Varnado win the trifecta this year - most blocks ever, most blocks this year, and most average blocks per game. But Whiteside just might put a tamper on JV's time in the spotlight. BTW, Whiteside is only a freshmen and has averaged only 24 minutes a game this season. Varnado's reign at the top might be short lived if this guy stays in school for 3-4 years.
