They lost to Boise and a 1AA. Then they ran the table against the ACC.
I remember being in a bar 7 or 8 years ago when the ACC added Miami, Va. Tech, and BC, and there were some ACC fans talking about how the ACC was now the new elite conference ahead of the SEC.
At the time it seemed like a plausible argument. Miami, Va. Tech, and FSU were all playing at an elite level, and there were a lot of other solid programs in the league.
Now the ACC is fighting to just stay ahead of the Big East as the weakest of the BCS leagues.
