Obviously, we get Russell. You gotta think Bumphis takes a hard, hard look. I'd love to know who was primarily responsible for Bumphis at Fla.

Now, Mullen, get your MF'n *** to vegas and start offering Melvin satchels to JUCO OLs. NOW!

Every interview with Bumphis, he constantly talked about Percy Harvin being his favorite player. Mullen hopefully can sell him on him playing the same role as Harvin.

I was all set to adopt the volleyball from Castaway as my new icon. This sucks. The only thing cute about Mullen's name is that its so close to Mullet.

that (if this is definitely true), our HC was the OC for a team going to the ship- this isn't Dooley. How can you not be excited- half *** Crxxms dragged from Green Bay to OC stud from the SEC whose team is in the national championship...c'mon.

Recruiting Florida/Georgia.

Proven QB coach. Will turn QB recruit heads.

Much younger at 36. There's a reason why Wilson is 47 and still a coordinator. I don't have to know specifics to know that's a problem.

I like his aggressiveness. Relates to players well.

Doesn't don the pornstache.

Looks like a young Barry Switzer.

He wasn't dumbass enough to turn down our money to coach in the NC game and start after that.

* SEC-savvy * Stats against SEC defenses - do they play defense in the Big 12? * Wilson's fine, but Mullen is likely better! Here's your HR hire! ! !

I think I still have that in my favorites from when Croom came on board. Croom should have shared it with our offense!

The Clarion-Ledger has learned that Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen is expected to be named Mississippi State's next head football coach.

It's unclear when he will be introduced to MSU fans. A flight from Gainesville, Fla., to Starkville is scheduled to land at Bryan Field at 2:54 p.m., according to flightaware.com.

Mullen has spent the past eight years as an assistant to Urban Meyer at three different stops - Bowling Green, Utah and Florida.

Mullen, 36, is a native of Manchester, N.H. He was an all-conference tight end at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.

great, KV is now using flightware

Sorry for the bad info guys. If you had heard what I heard yesterday, and more importantly who I heard it from, you would have jumped on the Wilson bandwagon too. Perhaps something fell through, who knows.. but it's irrelevant now. Glad the waiting is over. I'm not as happy with the hire as I would have been with the other names, but I suppose I'll trust GB's judgment over anyone else's for the time being. Not really sure what to think about this guy. He's been with Urban Meyer for a while, but is Mullen just as much responsible for the production? I don't know. I guess we'll find out next October in Starkville.

That being said, I'm a man of my word. I said if I was lying I'd be gone for a month, and I was full of ****. See you guys when conference play starts on the hardwood. Coach34, get your predictions ready. Not sure if we'll be winning the west by three games this year, but the division is wide open.

Happy Holidays.

according to a couple of Florida guys I know. His personality puts him in good stead with 18 year olds. Reportedly they like the guy.
