That's interesting considering the previous regime waffled on giving the guy a scholarship.

Previous staff had him working with the first team last year as a true freshman before he got hurt, but I see where you're coming from.

Most important thing to me is Freeman has passed Lawrence as #1 RT. It's about time a four star JUCO starts having an impact. Hopefully Lawrence can push him to excel all year.

And Craig Jenkins, who has started probably 30 games in his MSU career, is a backup as a 5th year senior. Either we sucked horribly for the past three years or we are starting to get some depth at OL. Maybe a little of both.

lineman on the team? They were planning to ease him into a starting role last year as a true freshman. That's impressive. Offensive line is by far the hardest position to play successfully as a true freshman.

I think it was a severe high ankle sprain or stress fracture? I can't remember.

should be a good one for you guys (though I wasn't expecting him to start this soon).

If not, my apologies.

People always get upset when kids from their home town don't get offers. It's as though the head coach personally ***** slapped every member of the Sunday morning choir of the local baptist church.

On Tobias Smith, I have to ask.... What's worse? That Croom waffled on offering a guy that was good enough to start for us from day one? Or that Croom's recruiting was so poor that a guy was good enough to start for us from day one that nobody else offered?
