Im tied of the lies!!! They supposed to be a Christian school and they calling our athletes in appo to poach??! That 15-0 got them all over Appomattox county trying to get our boys. What I remember from the article in News & Advance(5 months ago), the A.D. cried the blues that he "didnt recruit." Well....Im a man of God (u no better than me) and i am calling him a liar!!! I know for a fact they been calling Sophomore Devon Graves. He was starting CB as 9th and last yr. He was a starting #2 WR last season. He probably fastest kid on team. As per coach smith, he was gonna be tried out at QB this season (he has background, middle school). Im mad!!! I knew this private school stuff coming to VHSL was gonna affect public schools. Thankfully, graves said he good in appo and he is not going no where. He all about defending our title! If he is QB, its gonna be nasty on defenses. Page was good but he is great with his feat. He has a stronger arm, but Page was accurate! He will have a good test by competing with sophomore Javon Scruggs (backup qb last yr). Plus RB mixing in many wildcats next year gonna be NICE! Phillip got a nice arm too!

Oh and i know he benches like 250-260s as a sophomore WR/CB??!!! Kid has a good attitude even though he can get emotional in negative ways as I have seen for years. That comes with maturity though.

wouldn't he have to sit out a year if he transferred to LCA? or is that just for city schools? Or could he just "move" to Lynchburg? Hope he stays where he is at.

If he were to go to LCA, I would think he'd play right away. I could be wrong but Tim Glass from GW Danville transferred there for the 2014/2015 school year and was able to play right away and when he transferred back to GW this year he was immediately eligible ...

Dont know mojo? Im pissed at the lying crap LCA dishes out. I heard they already crying to move down to 3A. They got smashed by 4A millbrook in playoffs. They need to be careful what they ask for. They wanted to run with big dogs, well...dont cry now.

Another thing, they got a QB (first name is Grant, dont know last name) we played in youth league (he played for Concord Indians). I heard he reclassed this year so he will be starting again next year. If this is true, how are they getting away with this stuff?

Here is a link to his hudl from last season:

That kid is going to be special. Hope he has good support system and good head on his shoulders. He's got the size you can't teach and pretty good instincts for a young guy. Still has much work to do to become elite but he's got as good a foundation physically as you could ask for in a BCS level prospect. Reminds me a lot of former DR/current VT star Terrell Edmunds with his length and stride. Tell him to keep working his tail off and stay humble, he does those two things sky is the limit.

I've always made it known that private schools have no right to compete alongside public schools. Living on the Virginia/Tennessee border, I've long known about the plight of schools to our south that have to play Christian Academy of Knoxville, Christ Presbyterian Academy, among other elite TN private schools.

And certainly in 2A, Maggie Walker (while not technically a private school, they're just as bad) has been nothing but trouble for fair competition.

The VHSL needs to do the right thing and force LCA and the magnet schools out of our competition level

Try running cross country against Maggie Walker. Not even close to being fair most years.
