Venting because I had high hopes for this season.
Several of our big wins came withopponent injuries or otherwise missing major players.
Several of our guys are too cool to raise their arms and jump on late close outs. We play physical D but we don't always play high effort D.
Being close to a 3pt shooter is not the same as blocking vision and space.
We're only so-so on boxing out and boxing in on rebounds. I thought rebounding was a point of emphasis. Doesn't look it.
We get less than 50% of 50/50 balls. Without McConnell and Mulcahy, we'd be way below.
Recruitment leaves me with little hope for improvement or even staying in the mid tier of the B1G.
Pikes tactic to find diamonds in the rough will yield more ruff than diamonds. There is a lot of positive RU feeling out there and the rest of the east is in decline. This should be the time we're building pipelines of talent and connections to top NYC/NJ high schools and AAU. SHU is cleaning our clock in this department.
How can Pike's think so much of Williams (meant Miller) when he has no offense and he is also a defensive rebounding liability?
Lafayette, Umass, Penn St., Northwestern, Maryland losses are still unforgiveable.
Hyatt was just a bad guess, but who did homework on Jones, Agee and Palmquist and missed so badly.
Does Pikes have the cojones to chase off dead wood and work the transfer portal, because that's the only hope for next year.
Woolfolk and Simpson had no other majors competing with us.
Super-senioritis. I really feel like Baker and Harper only give there full effort if the other guys have kept us in the game.
Only McConnell, Mulcahy, Omoruyi, and Mags make this team worth rooting for....maybe Dean, too.
Every other top coach in this league works the refs. Pike thinks he's smarter than them? Comes off as not caring as much.
(PS: Love Pikes and grateful for the job he's done, but he could do a lot to improve.)
