He just signed on with Golden State for their training camp.

Also, even though he had exhausted his college eligibility after only 3 seasons of playing, he stuck around at LaSalle for this past year to get his degree. He graduated a few months ago with a degree in integrated science and business technology...whatever the hell that is.

Just thought it interesting that a guy who so many dismissed as a total moron while at MSU decided to forgo making money overseas and stayed to get his degree. Maybe that was a moron thing to do in the short term, just cool that he recognized the value that came with his opportunity for a free education.

And the year away from basketball clearly didnt hurt him since he barely did much at LaSalle, yet he played well in the Summer League and impressed an NBA team enough for them to bring him to camp.

Hope he can make a team somewhere. And if not, sounds like he's got a pretty good degree to fall back on.

While reading this wondering if the MSU basketballcoaching staffwill ever learn the appropriate usage of a talented power forward on the offensive end of the court?

Barry Stewart to Germans:....."I can do what it takes to get stronger"
Jarvis: "I never lifted weights in college"

If D. Wilson is a new coach can we please ask him to:
A) Implement an offense
B) Have the players eat right, lift weights, get stronger and where appropriate bigger.

Two additional points for the upcoming season.
1) Kodi needs to start the year at center with Wendell playing minutes at 4 (unless Rick finds another Turner/Dietrich undersized guy). Doubt this happens because "Kodi is our 4" WTF?
2) Secondly, pick whichever of these new guy BarryStewart clonesis the best and give him lots of minutes early at the 2. (Fewer minutes for Benock).

Ready for football and basketball.

Huh. I heard multiple times that he was a total moron. Always seemed odd since i read he loved science and model cars of some sort, but i figured it could be true since he went to that joke of a prep school for 2 years in Philly where they didnt have a classroom or even a teacher.

His whole situation was nuts. Grew up in Barbados, didnt play basketball till he was in HS, raw didnt even begin to do his game justice, but damn he was athletic. Seemed quiet as can be, never did much, lost a year of eligibility due to an absurdly BS NCAA rule, barely did much at LaSalle, and then he stayed in college for 1 more year to graduate instead of getting money to play.
And now he is 26 and starting his pro career.

Quite the different route from most elite prospects. And now it comes out he actually wasnt box of rocks between the ears.

Vernon did not exactly light it up at Lasalle so I would not lay all of this on Stansbury. Ray Charles could see the talent that Goodridge had but to say he was raw when he was at MSU is an understatement.
