I want to set fire to every blue tent I see. I implore any of you here that use a blue tent to go to WalMart in Starkville and get a maroon one for about $120. Also if any of you here like to steal tailgate tents..................steal the blue ones.

he went and bought 2 new ones yesterday and the damn things were almost $200 a piece. He said Walmart was out of tents completely, where's another place to buy cheaper tents in Starkville?

Go to the WalMart website. I think you can order one online for around $130 plus maybe shipping. They are actually nice tents. I got one myself and was pleasantly surprised with it.

To get a shot of our sold out stadium from above during a game. I haven't seen a shot of that anywhere. I saw one of LSU's and it was killer.

Don't let the Ole Miss guys see that. They will probably say we put cardboard cutouts in the upper deck.

Have you done any arial photography of stadiums? My father-in-law is a photographer and was going to do something similar to this. Turned out in this post 9/11 world, there was a lot more to it than firing up the plane and taking a photo. There was a lot of hoops to jump through.

I have done lots of aerial jobs, but never of a stadium. Post 911, the FAA rules are very stringent. I emailed Stricklin to see if it's something he'd be interested in doing. I know lots of people would probably like to be able to buy an aerial shot of the stadium on a sold out SEC game night off the MSU photo site. Heck it may have already been done, but I haven't seen a photo of it...

As in, "I see you have one of the FEMA tents, Cletus. Were they out of legitimate tents?"

It is only through the process of producing shame and disgrace that these things will be banished.

This one:

He has friends in the Tuscaloosa Police Department and that's how he got in position to take the shot.

Does it seem to anyone else that there are less tents set up in the Junction than a couple years ago? It seems they have made so many walking lanes that have really cut down on how many tents can be there. Maybe its just me.

2 weeks ago they had a pretty good selection, not sure if they still do. Could get a grayish one for about $80 and a maroon one for $120 (and a blue for about $60).

We set up in front of the Depot, and that seems like a trend for alumni the last couple of seasons - all the way down that brick sidewalk that goes in front of the depot.

I'm not complaining - just observing that students have quite an advantage in claiming prime junction space. Lots more of them than alumni who really aren't interested in staying in Starkville Fri night.

There is a 3,000 ft restriction for a 3 nautical mile radius around the stadium from an hour before to an hour after the event.

So, what kind of a shot can you get from 16,000 ft away? That seems to be what you'd be up against.

That being said, if you can slap it in a double matted frame with a couple of medallions at the bottom, my dumb *** would pay $250 for it. I like all the stadium shots.
