VERY high praise from Chris Vernon today after Memphis game.

I feel like Vernon usually gives fair takes when it comes to Tigers basketball, and he was spot on with this one. Memphis had a few spurts where they played well Saturday, but State came out with relentless rebounding a defense for the entire 40 minutes. There weren't any lulls, and I give credit to Jans for getting the entire team ready to play like that
That is strong. Good comments. Funny how after watching State play, everyone says "why aren't they ranked?" This one on national TV was obviously a huge step to fixing that.
I'm very interested to see that same team play OM this coming weekend. I think that might be a better matchup for Memphis than we are.

I grew up in Memphis and was a big fan back when Gene Bartow was their coach. They are still my second favorite team. I hope they win Saturday against OM. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing.

Yes. Also I'm pretty sure it was Vernon... that his first trip to sec media days, as a part of Reb 56am, he got kicked out of the media room for laughing at most of what Ron Zook said. It was Zooks 1st or 2nd year as HC of UF.
I give him credit. He has made a career out of acting like child.
