The old days of a bag of cash are so long gone. Whether or not this has anything to do with Cam Newton it's extremely interesting to say the least. If the 'Tigers Unlimited Foundation' wanted to move 200k to Cecil Newton it would be easy for them to do it through this lobbying company.

Definitely could be why the FBI is involved. They would certainly not waste their time on a college football issue otherwise. The feds are extremely diligent and build as thorough a case as possible. Pushing the money through this way is without a doubt money laundering and racketeering.

Geddie was indicted largely on the basis of intercepts of cell phone and land line conversations with those in the alleged pay-for-play scheme.

Curious "pay-for-play" is a term used in this crook's indictment charge.

When I heard the FBI was getting involved in the Newton fiasco, I figured it was because of possbile racketeering activity.

Now that I've read this article, I'm 70% certain it has to do with a racketeering investigation.

"pay for play" has to do with Geddie's attempts to influence the Alabama Legislature's vote on the gambling legislation as opposed to actions related to AU football recruiting.

But, it is interesting to see this connection apparently unfolding.

Damn good read, and really makes you wonder what the hell AU has been doing for a while now in the recruiting arena. Ideal place to hide money/payments for recrootin' purposes.
