It's not like coaching salaries are performance based.
He negotiated a salary and we paid what we agreed to. He didn't "steal" anything. Any of you would want to be paid what you contracted for.
I'm sure the guy had the best of intentions. I don't think he intended to lose. He just didn't know how to win.
All of this whining and complaining over what he was paid is ridiculous. The guy is gone and it's time to move on. Stop acting like he should have been paid for results because that's not what his contract (or any other SEC coaches contract) is based on. There may be incentives for better performance, but the base contract is not based on that. Billy Gillispie at UK didn't "steal" anything from UK and Croom didn't "steal" anything from us. They were paid what they contracted for. That's it. Period.
It's time to move on.
