His turnaround at State (figuratively and literally) was fun to watch. I wish someone had footage of his dunk at Loyola Marymount in December of 2007. Best Charles Rhodes dunk I ever saw. He left his feet screaming just inside the elbow and some guy tried to stop him mid-air. Needless to say it was poster material. The LMU fans couldn't stop talking about it afterwards.<div>

that he felt that nobody could stop him once he got the ball. We don't have anyone (eligible) with that same attitude. The best Rhodes moment was the UM game when he talked about what he was going to do to UM and then backed it up. I remember Andy Kennedy saying "Charles Rhodes said what he was going to do to us and then went out and did it." (or words to that effect)
He was a monster his last year. Varnado's defensive presence is game changing but we really need a post player with Rhodes' offensive ability. We are hurting too much without one. Not only that we are hurting bad without the leadership he brought to every game. Can someone other than Phil Turner be a leader for us? Phil Turner is the only player who consistently shows leadership on the court during games. We need a starter to show some tenacity like that to keep this team together in the waning minutes.
That game in the Hump was one of the few times I've actually felt sorry for an opponent...it was like watching a highlight film from the first minute to the last. Rick's coaching in that game consisted of posting his roster to the officials. Bradley was totally out-athleted...gonna see if I can find Jamont's dunk on Youtube.
