Really sucks for him. It looked like he was still going to get the most carries even with Bradshaw there.

He was turning into the Colts #1 running back. They had pretty much phased out Donald Brown. Hopefully he can come back strong next year and reclaim his starting spot. I hate it for him.

That's terrible. And apparently it was a non-contact injury in practice. I swear anything related to MSU football is cursed.

The unfortunate thing for Ballard is that unless you're one of the most elite RBs, you're easily replaceable these days.

I agree with this. I hope Ballard gets another shot post injury. It isn't guaranteed since he isn't big contract/ high draft pick guy.
