What I heard a couple of games ago can't be true. Ellis said Vickerson had flied out 60 times this year. That's out of 127 official ABs (almost 50%). This from a guy with a slugging percentage of 0.291. If those numbers are true, there is no way he should ever play, much less DH. I couldn't find this stat on the website...maybe I just missed it. Can anyone please verify this?

He's been a flyout machine all year long. No reason for him to ever be in the lineup over Armstrong, Brown, or Henderson.

You forgot Bradford. Humphreys can play outfield and I'm sure one of the Canadians would be hitting at a better clip than this as well. Vickerson is just plain terrible this year but Cohenz matchups are more important than actual production.

Vickerson should spend more time in the batting cage and weight room and less time applying his mascara before games. My wife swears he is wearing eyeliner.

I am now convinced the only talent he gas is being Nick's brother.

That sounds about accurate... He had a base hit, a groundout, and 5 fly outs last weekend in 2 games.

Not to defend Vickerson at all, because he is horrible. But both of the Canadians are even worse. Lowest 2 averages on the team for 2 years straight. There's a good reason they're not on the SEC weekend rosters. They're lucky to be on the team at all.

I really really really have a hard time understanding why Vickerson should be in the lineup as much as he is.
