This wasn't the only bribe. He had his hands out to everyone.

I.E. Their was a big baseball/softball/soccer complex, much like the complex in Madison planned in Vicksburg. I am sure they did a million in site prep work, and a couple of months in just left the improved land to sit. Basically stalled and scrapped. The complex was supposed to be past WES on Fisher Ferry just across the old city/county line. Had it been completed, city would have annexed if it hadn't already been. Word was that Winfield had gone in and planned to relocate this complex to other side of town on "someone" elses land. No affiliation/connection at all to this other person**
