First, I'll preface by saying, no I'm not on of those that think we are going down in flames just because we are M-State. I'd rather not trade places with Auburn right now. All the statements thus far and the circumstantial evidence paints a pretty dim picture for them. If there is anyone that should be squirming right now, it's Auburn.

However, somebody give me a rundown of the potential violation scenarios we face given the known parties of MSU coaches (unnamed), Bond, Rogers, Cecil, and Bill Bell (intermediary). Let's assume we said "no thanks" to any solicitations and didn't want to play this game. I just want to know what sort of repercussions we face by simply having potential boosters and other non-coaching staff just having planned and non-planned discussions with an "agent" (Rogers) or any other party not named Cam or Cecil.

I can't see any implications if we said no. It seems pretty obvious that this went pretty much nowhere. I'm so far seeing Rogers>Bill Bell>Bond>MSU Compliance that's a pretty tight loop.

....in not shooting messengers or whistle blowers. If the SEC so much as raises a finger over some secondary violation on our part in all this, they'll be neutering themselves. Slapping us on the wrist isn't going to encourage schools to report major violations as we have.
