So here we have it. The VirginiaPreps.com Pre-Season Top Ten ranking for 6A:

1. Colonial Forge (6A / Region B / Commonwealth District)
2. Oscar Smith (6A / Region A / Southeastern District)
3. Centreville (6A / Region D / Concorde District)
4. Westfield (6A / Region D / Concorde District)
5. South Lakes (6A / Region D / Liberty District)
6. Manchester (6A / Region B / Dominion District)
7. South County (6A / Region C / Patriot District)
8. Frank W. Cox (6A / Region / Region A / Beach District)
9. Thomas Dale (6A / Region B / Central District)
10. C.D. Hylton (6A / Region C / Eastern District)

Who doesn't belong and who should be here? I can only comment on NOVA teams. I like Centreville at 3. Westfield might be 4 by the end of the season but not so sure I would rank them so high until they prove themselves. I really don't see South Lakes as a Top 10 team. South County. OK, maybe. Hylton? Maybe a top 25 team - are they really the best team in Prince William County? I probably would have put Lake Braddock in there somewhere. Maybe West Potomac.

Riverbend will make some noise if they can handle their schedule. 9 out of 10 teams were playoff teams a year ago.

Week 4 - Highland Springs
Week 5 - #1 Colonial Forge
Week 6 - Massaponax (#5) in 540 rankings
Week 9 - North Stafford (#1) in 540 rankings

Hummmm, did someone miss the fact that Colonial Forge has had to replace their entire OL in 2017? How many times would a team be ranked #1 with that kind of problem?

They have a pretty tough schedule. So, if it's a problem, then we'll know within the first couple of weeks.
