Malachi Marshall. FSU really wants him. Guess we'd be bringing him in for experienced depth, which is basically non-existent right now. SC native.

I don’t see why not. Would be nice to have a third guy in the fold to compete with Woods and Duckworth when Sellers goes.

This sounds like we are just trying to fill in warm bodies in whatever slots are available. The new staff must not have been impressed at all with the roster from last year.
Hopefully they can put a competitive team together

I would be more comfortable with an experienced backup than a true freshman. I like it.

He is going to sit at FSU if he chooses to play there. Daniels is going to start at FSU.

I’m sure he’ll sit at any major football program he goes to. I watched the tiny bit of film on YouTube I could find. I mean, hey, he could be really good. But if he’s looking to come into a big time program and start I don’t know how that’s justified.

Agreed. Someone mentioned he would sit here. As you mentioned, there's a good chance he'll sit wherever he goes, barring an injury.

Hopefully he finds a home where he can start next season.

Chambliss did okay at Ole Miss jumping from Division II.
That’s fair, but none of the guys come from dII or juco with the leverage of, “I need to be the starter or I’m not coming.” There are a ton of damn good players all over every division that can absolutely play at a high level. They just don’t have that leverage yet.

I would bet Woods would be just as good as some juco QB.
I’m pretty high on Woods and hope he stays at Carolina through his collegiate career. Duckworth obviously was a highly recruited guy and will compete in the coming years as well. I’m not saying Woods can win the starting job over Sellers, but I think he’s going to compete enough in practice to put a little pressure on Lanoris. There are things you can’t teach, and Woods just can’t match Sellers there, but he processes things quickly and seems to understand his role as a QB. Regardless, I like the idea of bringing in the JUCO kid to compete.

If I am going to most likely sit, I would go where the NIL pays me the most to sit. Kind of like a back-up QB in the NFL....
