Agree, I just don't remember this being a trend in general college baseball coach being hired to go coach in MLB? After asking the google machine the only other one was Pat Murphy but he spent 10 years coaching the minors before getting a skipper job? From a Giants perspective I don’t get it. From my perspective see ya.
BiglyI am glad we got who we got when we got him.
I don't think you'll see Tennessee continue to invest the amount needed in baseball to become a powerhouse. Their little run here was almost ALL Vitello, like most schools.I am glad we got who we got when we got him.
I guess in today's world of college sports 100-million-dollar renovation for the baseball stadium is not that big of an investment. If they really were serious, they would have spent 105 million.I don't think you'll see Tennessee continue to invest the amount needed in baseball to become a powerhouse. Will they fall completely off? Probably not. But they'll likely return to the ranks of South Carolina or so. Very few schools like us and LSU that care enough to go all in like we have. Most of them will start to go all in once they are winning, so they have to get lucky with a coach.
Everybody has to do facilities.I guess in today's world of college sports 100-million-dollar renovation for the baseball stadium is not that big of an investment. If they really were serious, they would have spent 105 million.
History says Lemonis could win with Vitello's recruits.Lemonis to TN is trending on every social media site related to baseball**********************

He won't be able to showboat in MLB like he did in college. That **** won't fly. He's in for a humbling experience.
