Anyone watching? Pretty interesting so far...

Looking forward to seeing their interpretation of the mass murdering manbearpig Janet Reno.

I wasn't really "news conscious" when Waco occurred. What are your remembrances of that saga?

I WAS/am "news conscious" and have a lot of interest in this subject (Waco).

But not now...that you've made the post political. Could you not have made your post without calling the Attorney General a "mass murdering manbearpig"?

If I'm wrong, tell me why. Or you can just take your ball and go home. BTW: I'd have made the same comment if it was a repub AG ordering the storming of a compound with women and children inside, especially in light of the blood on her hands from Ruby Ridge which happened just before...

Bottom line. Janet Reno (AKA Butch) sent the U.S. Military in on a bunch of peaceful civilians & slaughtered them. Men, women, & children. Reno is the same big dyke that had a young Cuban boy ripped from the loving arms of his relatives & forced to go back to that communist hellhole called Cuba. Wow, what a record.

Liberals: police shoot black guy...."omg this is out of control, I can't believe they always get away with it, the system is unjust"

Also liberals: federal govt kills 75 ppl including 25 children..."ppl should turn their weapons in the govt will protect us"

Reality: One in the same, Government is incompetent at any level! Government always denies any fault in either situation.

I want to go visit the location someday just because I am enthused with Texas history, particularly Waco. Could kick my *** for not during the years I lived in Texas.

Just got through about a week ago watching the Truth or Lies Documentary Waco ABC did in January. David Koresch was a sicko manipulating the Bible, truly thought he was a prophet. Every woman he wanted would be his wife and preyed on underage girls. The children were brainwashed, robotic in their responses to him. Afraid of getting beat intensely for any wrong doing. Could hear him say to the kids, "Tell them who's good to you." Typical line of mental abusers of **** I heard growing up as a child. Could not eat dairy products or no running electricity. Bought all of those weapons having his following believe they would be at war with the world and the end of time was upon them. Found it interesting how Koresch was tipped off by the media telling a mailman living at the compound who was on the route near Mount Carmel and asked why the media was there. They had caught wind of the raid. It was interesting listening to the testimonies of the survivors. Hard to believe the 'Waco Siege' lasted 51 days.

The Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka today are another bunch of insane manipulators of the Bible. As a veteran, I especially despise them for their views and actions towards the military.

Anyone remember the Biker War a couple years ago at Twin Peaks where 170 bikers charged with organized crime linked to capital murder? Waco has had a lot of craziness going on in its history.

A citizen doesn’t follow a police officer’s directions to the T, moves his hand funny, gets shot by police....people on this board “that’s why you do what the police tell you. I’ve never had the police shoot at me because I follow directions and don’t act suspicious”.

Gun nuts and religious extremists shoot at ATF agents and helicopters..people on this board “the feds are killing innocent people and not giving them time to let the justice system work.”

What a place

Waco is for me the case study on why we have a second amendment. It is what the founders envisioned happening to a citizenry who are unable to protect themselves from an out of control rogue Federal Govt. Although Koresh had a messianic complex he wasnt proved to have been harming anyone to the degree that it would rise above a local issue. This was a case where the Feds under Clinton-Reno decided to show their base just how tough they could be. In the process they killed a lot of innocent women and children all while using the same tactics Liberals decry being used against Terrorists. CS gas, psyc torture etc... It was event that even most sane progressives do not embrace.

There are a couple of good documentaries on Netflix about this/Ruby Ridge/OKC.

Will have to check out the series. I’ve heard good things about it.

People forget that OKC was done as revenge against the feds for Waco and Ruby Ridge. Whether a bullied kid taking revenge against his High School class mates or a madman with a truckload of fertilizer and fuel......if the feds take away 2nd amendment rights from the citizens....I fear there will be lots of Tim McVeighs out there to make things get very ugly. Hopefully our leaders realize that.

It intrigues me that a Timothy McVeigh had KKK ties/sympathy but used Waco ((interracial gathering) as the prompting for the OKC bombing.
I know it was an ax to grind w the government, but interesting to say the least

Wut?

McVeigh was reprimanded by the military for purchasing a "White Power" T-shirt at a Ku Klux Klan protest against black servicemen who wore "Black Power" T-shirts around a Military installation (primarily Army).[17]

He bought a tee shirt to protest a similar shirt worn by black servicemen.....and you conclude that means he had KKK "ties." Maybe he bought a white power tie while he was at it. That is about the only "tie" to the KKK that anyone has ever come up with. He bought a shirt. Sheesh. That whole narrative is an attempt to add the OKC bombing to a list of "white supremacist" murders. Its so the SPLC can make up stats in order to say that white racists are more dangerous than Muslim terrorists. Sadly you seem to have taken the bait.

Since you’re so adamant about it, Please provide linkage proving he didn’t have ties to the KKK.

Mothertoucher was crazy. As I've said before, you can point a finger at someone's religious deity of choice, their political ideology, or what the touch ever else you want to blame, but the main ingredient is a 55 gallon drum of industrial strength batshit crazy. People who do these sort of things are bonkers.

I'm not adamant about it at all. I had never heard about any KKK connection until you wrote it. I then went to Wiki and copied the KKK mention in it. That does not seem like much of a connection to me. The entire state of WVA has a KKK connection then because they sent Robert Byrd to the US Senate. Is that a connection for everyone from WVA? I suppose if you want to be a racial demagogue then that would work for the shallow thinkers.

Will you provide for me a link that proves Hillary didn't have ties to the KKK?

The Feds could have picked up Koersch at any time when he went to town. Regardless of who gets the blame the outcome was so unnecessary.
This is true. They even say he was spotted in town during the Siege in that ABC Documentary that I linked in my first post. Shocked nothing became of the underground Emergency bus and tunnel at the compound.

Help me out.

Are you upset that someone is linking McVeigh to the KKK or that someone is linking the KKK to McVeigh?

Upset at fake news. I prefer truth to narrative.

So that I am clear....the KKK is a joke. It is toothless and meaningless in today's world. Its only power comes from the leftist fear-mongering race whores who get votes by convincing minorities that the Klan is coming to get them. That is nonsense. So when I see a new narrative pushed that the OKC was done by the Klan (that is how lazy people read that post above) then I certainly want to set the record straight. The OKC bombing was retaliation against the US Govt for its roll in incinerating women and children at Waco. Race was not a motivation. It is wrong to rewrite history in order to deflect from the ONLY reason that OKC happened. Not kooks in sheets. A guy pissed that women and children were killed by his government. PERIOD.

I'd have said exactly the same thing if the post had said that he had ties to Al Qaeda or to the BLM or Antifa.

It's total ******** to blame Clinton and Reno for this too. I seriously doubt Bill Clinton had ever heard of David Koresh before the stand off started, he had only been in office for about a month, and Reno hadn't even been appointed AG yet. They weren't just going to let them hole up in there forever after they had killed federal agents. True the feds didn't handle the situation very well, but the feds mistakes were made prior to the stand off, meaning prior to Clinton-Reno even being part of it. Republicans and Conservatives were criticizing them for being weak and let it drag out at the time.

Now Ruby Ridge, otoh, was a much bigger injustice than Waco. That happened with a Republican in office, not that I blame that on Bush41 either. But I've never heard Republicans/Conservatives blame Ruby Ridge on HW. However, they are real quick to blame Waco on Clinton-Reno.
