After the Spring game, everyone will be talking about how great we look and how the 2026 season is "going to be special". con

August will bring the conversations about which game or two we might lose on our march to the playoff.

Our qb will be a first round lock, and possible Heisman candidate. The "great wall of carolina" talk will start up again if we sign a 4 star OL.

And some Division 2 RB will be all the talk with how awesome he is going to be if we could just get him past the NCAA clearinghouse.

I feel sorry for Gamecock fans in their 20s and 30s. Little do they realize they have decades of football like 2025 ahead of them because of poor leadership. If they are smart, they will stop buying tickets and belonging to the Gamecock Club. Send USC a message.

A few years ago, I finally threw in the towel after 35 years of season tickets and membership in the Gamecock Club. Since most of the attention now seems to be focused on continuously reducing the stadium capacity so that they can build as many fat cat luxury boxes as they can, it makes me feel good when I look in my checkbook register and find no evidence of “Pay to the Order of USC Athletic Department”.
