in the last four minutes of the game which was tied. They went away from the pass and did not use their 3 timeouts. No real effort to get the ball into field goal territory.

What the hell were they thinking other than negatively?
you are so spot on it isn't funny. I was screaming if they got to OT they lose because it shortens the field. The threat of a stretch play is what made the run work so well. And what a weird run play every time. A huge delayed draw play. OLine must be great be able to hold out that Dline. But I was screaming the same, go win it in regulation, was their best chance. all they needed was 20 more yards that they never tried to get. Good news is Clemson looks human in a few positions. Got exposed. Lets hope NC State bashes em next week

Sometimes a good system coach (a guy who can put a lot of good pieces together) is revealed as a meatball on the sidelines when the moment gets too big for him. The great ones are good system coaches who are not meatballs on the sidelines.

As stated above, the Wake OL is able to hold the Clemson DL for what seems like 4-5-6 seconds sometimes while the QB and RB hold onto the ball, how the heck do they do this w/o holding? Heck sometime a QB has 2-3 seconds to get rid of the ball or he is running for his life. How does Wake do this?

Yep. Wake had the ball at the clemson 48 with 39 seconds left. The tigers were out of timeouts. It was 4th and 5. They should have gone for it right there and tried to win, but instead they punted.

The way Clemson had been moving the ball is why Wake punted.

And they lost - they should have played to win. The offense had been moving the ball all day on clemson's defense. Instead, Wake went conservative, played not to lose, and still lost.

It's not like they were at their own 35 or something.

Clemson would have needed only 15 yards to be in FG range. It was the best decision imo

Wake only needed 15 yards to get in field goal range. The results speak for themselves. Playing for overtime lost the game.

Going off memory, but I think there were about 4 minutes left, and they started running. I thought "what the heck are they doing", but then they rattled of 2 first downs in a row.

It was good to burn the time and leave clemson with no time, but they needed to convert that last 3rd down.

When your qb is as good as Wakes and had kept them in the game let him w/l the game. With the taters dbs reeling all game put it up when the game is on the line. It should never have gone to ot cause the odds fall to the taters.
