So when are walker horn and grant darbyshire going to say they're coming back to uk as walk-ons for the 24-25 season as juniors? They sure were cozy with the current uk players at the baseball game. I think it's great after we get our 13th scholly player and add those 2 it will give us a nice number of 15 players or 3 teams for practice purposes.

Darbyshire’s dad’s company ran the collective under Cal. Now that he’s not involved in the collective, I’m not sure what happens there. He was a below average high school player so even if he stays, he adds nothing in terms of a practice player beyond a body.

Oh man are we going to get transfer walk-ons and destroy the concept of the walk-on too?

Jarrod Polson set some KY high school records and was probably an end-of-roster scholarship player, rather than a walk-on, under anyone but Cal. Even under Cal he was converted to scholarship before his first season ever started. Cal never actually had a meaningful walk-on here, someone like Junior Braddy or Cameron Mills or Ravi Moss. With Cal gone we actually get back the possibility of someone like that.

We have had a few good walk on stories over the years (Mills being the most famous and successful by far) but in 2024 with Pope using all 13 scholarships most seasons we shouldn't have walk ons playing ever.
