Huge matchup. A lot of key returners on both sides. I guess it’s gonna come down to stopping the run since both teams will prolly run it at a very efficient rate
100%. I think from what I heard ED lost a good amount in the trenches on both sides and WRH lost a few good skill players so both returned a lot but lost some key pieces. I think it comes down to the little things like special teams. Last year WRH recovered an onside kick that could be what won them the game!

Interested to see how Wallace offense looks heard they are running a different system now. I like East Duplin in this game tho believe they have the better team returning. I’ll say 24-18

extremely competitive rivalry these two have had some barn burners last time either team won this matchup by more then one score have to go back to the 2016 season a 17-7 win by Wallace. Since then every game decided by one score.

I give Wallace the edge in the first half, because of their defense. But i think ED will make the best adjustments, and come away with the win. 24-14

Love the matchup but hate it’s the first game of the year. ED has been known to start the year slowly but if they have most of the Oline back that could mean a faster start to the season. If WRH is running a new offensive system it may take them some time to start rolling. I like Mot a lot but he will not be the best coach on the sidelines in this one.

I dont think WRH is running a new offensive system, I am fairly certain they hired a wing T guy out to help Coach Mot with the offense. Hopefully it is faster paced though.

They looked a little sloppy but in scrimmage last night against Topsail they looked a lot better as game went on. O line needs improvement but the defense looks pretty good. Gonna be another barn burner
Well, we’ve had a good run. Turn out the lights

WRH made ED look good tonight. 3 turnovers will do it every time. They better figure it out and quickly or they will be 0-2.

According to my best friend, who’s a bulldog. The game wasn’t as close as the final score. He said WRH was undisciplined but unable to move the ball at all. I asked was ED that good or WRH that bad, he said probably some of both.

I’ve got a softball buddy who I actually think is a JK tiger said Wallace should’ve been at practice instead of making those videos for social media.
Congrats Panthers

WRH looked completely lost on offense last night. The defense played decent in the 2nd half. I dont think WRH made it into the red zone all night.

Every now and then, WRH has a tendency to go through a year in a funk even when they have good players. I am uncertain why. I think it’s too early to lump this group into that category. Too many new coaching pieces. Let’s watch this thing play out and see what happens when and if they start to grow in confidence.

Easy to kick the dog when they don't show. This team's dealing with change, and some early injuries. Coach says we're not a team you wanna play when it gets cold. We'll just wait and see.

Well after that pathetic showing last night, especially on offense, I’m pretty sure we are gonna be 0-2. The offense was worse than atrocious with absolutely zero flow and the turnovers were absolute killers. The defense did play better especially in the 2nd half. I just don’t see us stopping Kinston’s spread offense much at all next week. Their QB and receivers are gonna have a field day. I heard last night we have a lot of injuries and most of them are season ending unfortunately. If that’s true it’s gonna be a long season for the Dogs.

Crazy to me how everyone is blaming WRH and not giving credit to the Panthers on both sides of the ball. Score doesn’t reflect the whole game. It should have been worse. 17 years since WRH has been shut out speaks for itself.

Congrats to the Panthers.

It’s because we are WRH fans, it’s that simple. That was a pathetic display of football for us last night from typical Dogs football. It was frustrating for us to watch. We are not on here to pump rainbows up EDs arse.

If you’re a rainbow pumper in your free time, that’s your choice.

I’m very much aware that what was presented Friday night by WRH is not normal for its fans and supporters. Unfortunately you can’t be good or even great every year. I’m sure by the time conference games start, the Bulldogs will be just fine.

You got beat and it could have been worse if it wasn’t for the class of the ED coaches and the respect they have for Wallace’s program.

Hopefully this was a humbling experience for whoever thought that video made before the season was a good idea. If you’re a fan of either team, you know the video I speak of.

ED came out the better prepared team no doubt, but I still do not think they are all that great. Solid team who has a chance to be better, they just played an unprepared injury rittled Bulldog team this past week.

I don't think anyone is calling anybody great after week 1, not if they have good sense. It's a growth process for each team but it's also a attitude and mindset thing that is in play. Anyone who watches football knows body language is a real thing and it's very important. The Dogs did not have great body language last week, especially after they got down. They didn't have a sense of urgency in the second half when they needed it and I've not seen that from any of the previous Bulldog teams that I've watched over the years. Gotta fix that first in my opinion.
