Is their track record in general with on the field performance? CJ is pretty good but stays hurt, Kalio, nah.

Not much history to base it on.

Brassell could have been an All-American. CJ is pretty good. Robert Elliot wasn't anything to be upset about. Still too early on the rest.

In the pond we compete in, both of us fight over trash fish.

Good analogy, CJ doesn't really count as a flip

To me after hearing what happened. Mullen didn't have a clue that first year but he appears to be coming along.

I was wondering this last night..wonder if the Indians work in our favor on this and curse the unsuspecting flippers.

Not good for either sides. We also got the dt from la the same year with Elliot who was a can't miss prospect. He busted out. They had CJ, brassel, Coolio, Pat Pat. I'd consider CJ a 'bust'. He was a 5 star top 20 #2 mlb on the nation now he's a top 20 de for his signing class. Top 100 prospect maybe. Whitehead flipped to auburn and has underperformed as well. History isn't good for either teams, selfish headcase is an adequate discription.

You obviously don't know Jermaine because is as far from a "selfish headcase" as they come

Whitehead has had a solid career at Auburn. He has pretty much played in every game since he stepped on campus. He has started for a few years in a secondary that played for a national championship. He is a good football player.

Sorry but when I watch auburn play he gets burned nearly every single game. And to the post above, no, I don't know jermaine, I do know he got a brand new car around the time he signed with auburn though so that and him being tied at the hip with jc and brassel that year is why he falls into that category. Sorry if jimmies were rustled.

CJ falls in the "other" category. He definitely wasn't worth the suicide watch many of us went on, but he's pretty good at times.

If he ends up at MSU, does he stay at MLB? Because he's not in the same league as McKinney. And if he does move to DE, is he better than anything we have now? It's marginal at that point.

I am reluctant to put guys plagued with injuries in the bust category. The talent is there and translated. We can argue to the cows come home about his work ethic and whatnot, but CJ is good. Sometimes.

I think players that make a big public deal about their recruitment, like a lot of the flippers do, are more prone to be "me" players instead of team players, and are more likely not to live up to their hype.

I don't recall either team getting much from it

When healthy, CJ can be very good. I think Kailo is really going to excel at CB and that's where he should've been to begin with. I don't recall how Lamarcus Williams did for y'all.

With few notable exceptions, the Primo Donnas who are always playing games with the recruitment process tend to not be very good college players. The best ones are usually the ones who know what they want, have one or two schools they choose from, then sign with little fanfare.

Ole Miss' best player of the 21st Century was Patrick Willis, a 1-* Defensive End who was signed as a favor for one of David Cutcliffe's friends in High school. Our best QB was Chris Relf, a 1-* Sylvester Croom tried to turn into a West coast QB.

It's going to be interesting to watch Kalio. I know he is very fast but I'm

just not convinced he is a football player yet. He may prove me wrong.
