I'm seriously hoping they do. Nothing against Stanford, but this will knock the Pac-12 down considerably.

Mike Wilbon said today the Pac12 is deeper than the SEC this year. Not asking in a prideful way but why do these national guys always try to downplay our conference. Its easy to see the disparity between the SEC and everyone else. Look at Mizzou's transition.

It's what happens when you're top dog. Everyone tries to cut you down. I'm having the worst luck with my bets this year. 17 Stanford.

LOL

He should have said Big12.... they are the only ones worth discussion, and they aren't even CLOSE at the top, but are very deep. Really only one bad team in that whole conference(Kansas) to go with a bunch of mediocre/good teams(7 undefeated and the 2 with one loss are both Oklahoma schools)...

I really don't get Wilbon some times... He takes himself too seriously which makes it worse when he talks out of his ***. You can just look at the competition both conferences have faced and the results there of and you can clearly see that they're not near as deep. They've gotten a lot better, I'll give them that, but deeper than the SEC just isn't right.

Only one of their top teams is undefeated. And one of their top teams lost to a team that lost 41-3 to one of our teams that can be debated if they're the 2nd to 4th best team in the league. It just shouldn't be compared.

He's said we've been the best the last five or six years, and fully admitted

That, so it's not like he's an SEC hater. Plus he's a Big 10 guy, and always talks about how the SEC crushes them. He may not be right, but a case can be made the SEC is thinner than usual. Wilbon also says Bama is easily the best team in the country.

/I DVR PTI every day

If Petrino doesn't wreck a motorcycle we have 6 of the top 12 ranked teams, 5 of the top 7! We are just as deep and so loaded at the top that it makes his argument stupid. What exactly is a deeper league one with a lot of great teams and Kentucky or one with one great team and a lot of mediocrity. Whoops actually Kentucky is better than awful Colorado who lost to 1AA Sacramento state so even that argument goes out the window. I dvr PTI and while he does say those things he's always stretching to equalify people to the SEC as does much of ESPN. I think it's because they're liberals and really don't want to see the South dominate in such a way as Mutt likes to say about Goodell. Every now and then Wilbon will make a qualifying statement about "in some parts of the country, yes the South" in a very smarmy broad brush way. It's a play on "never losing a party" they have to talk up Denard Robinson or Notte Dame or other storylines to have the narrative that they are somehow equals in football, just because the media wants them to be

Everybody outside the SEC hates the SEC with a passion. They are sick of thinking whatever conference they are a fan of getting ripped apart by an SEC school when it comes bowl time...especially the BCS title game. When two SEC teams played for the title last year you could almost hear the aneurysms from the rest of the country. It is no big secret the way the rest of the country views the South and that is one reason they can't stand losing to us. Nothing would make them happier for us to either lose to another team or to not even make the title game at all and they will do everything in their power to make that happen.

Now you know it has nothing to do with being liberal... You could've left that out and made a better argument.

I think if Petrino doesn't wreck, Arkansas is 3-1, but that record could change drastically. Their offense would be improved, but their defense has some major gaffes regardless of who is the head coach at Arkansas right now.

I honestly can't believe they let the rematch happen last year. I thought the voters would sway it away from that. They have a problem now though. Right or wrong, they HAVE to let the SEC in the national championship game. Otherwise it will not be considered legitimate. There is no way after 6 in a row they could shut us out unless everyone has 2 losses or 1 bad loss. They all know it too which is part of why they are mad.

Why not? There was no way two teams from the same conference would ever play in the title game we all firmly believed at one point, and it happened. I don't see why it would be so difficult for them to snub us either

LSU already beat the **** out of Wahignton 41-3 this year. That is all.

Only four of the Huskies' 12 drives ended in LSU territory, and the only scoring drive started on the LSU 20-yard line, where Odell Beckham Jr. fumbled the opening kickoff.

If they snub the SEC and then the top SEC team wins their bowl game the entire story would be that the BCSNCG game is illegitimate. Now, if it were going to happen this would be the year because they could ignore it and move on to the 4 team playoff, but I still don't see it happening. As much as people hate the SEC what they would hate even more is everyone in the nation making fun of their fake championship because they didn't have to beat an SEC team to get it.
