Washington State's quarterback broke a NCAA record that had been held

by Drew Brees since 1998. He threw 89 passes against Oregon this past Saturday, passing the old record of 83 set in '98.

Every play they ran in the 4th quarter was a pass.

58 of 89 for 557 and 4 touchdowns.

I didn't watch the whole thing but presume nobody said " what about the 70 you guys laid on (name team)?"

I'm betting Leach threw it 89 times as a lesson to his RB's who only had 2 yards for the game. Or to get under Oregon's skin which worked.
