Unfortunately, they have done such a good job of creating a cult like following of Trump during the campaign that I don't think his followers will care about anything his does or doesn't do.....other than jobs. If he delivers a solid economy, he will have a pass to circumvent the constitution, lie to the press, expand the powers of the oval, use his position for financial gain, endanger our children, further destroy our environment, and control information.

All of the things that his followers hated about Obama and Clinton will be allowed under Trump, IF he delivers the economic boom.

This is a legal issue of course, nothing that his loyal followers can help with.

But can't the President just claim executive privilege and basically prevent a lawsuit from going forward?
Did you read the article? It's over the emoluments clause. There's another thread on it below. The claim is that he's in violation of the constitution for accepting payments from foreign governments, for example foreign government officials who stay in his hotels.

I read the article in the Washington Post, but I always thought that the President was protected from lawsuits (the article doesn't go into it at all).

I didn't know that the lawsuits against Bill Clinton eliminated many of the privileges that were in place prior. It's difficult, but can be done.
