Dak was really on in the game last night.
Would be do much better with Dak at QB and the same OL we have this year?

Pass rush will help, but they can’t cover worth a shiz. I guess maybe they’re missing a few guys in the back half. Those two rbs have been really impressive to meI’d like to buy in that their D was actually improved but it was the Raidas.
Quinnen Williams looked good though and he and Clark together could be pretty good disrupters.
They have a murderer’s row coming up in the next 5 games. You would think 4 of them being at home would be a good thing but past performances against the likes of the Saints and Cardinals tells you that they have completely lost their home field advantage these last 2 seasons.
Yep, now a win against Eagles Sunday gets my attention.I wouldn’t put too much stock into that win last night. The Raiders are complete utter garbage.
On the flip side what if they did somehow make it with Dak playing at this level? That's Dak’s pathway to a hands down MVP as narrow as that path may be.The Cowboys are still terrible, but Dak is now #1 in the NFL in QBR. They’ve only got like a 6% chance of making the playoffs so he has really no shot at MVP, but he very well might get his first 1st team All-Pro selection, which would be a huge feather in his cap.
Absolutely would’ve won Florida, Tennessee, Texas. At minimum, he could scramble better than Shapen. Doesn’t do a lot of that now but did a decent amount in college and probably still better. What I really meant to ask (not praise the Cowboys for winning last night) but screwed up due to a typo, was:
If we had Dak with his current highly developed skills and experience, but still had our floundering OL, would we have won the Missouri game or any other game, even if we had excellent in-game coaching calls?
The "typo" was really autocorrect![]()
Yeah….I could get on a soapbox about that. Kinda silly that he really might be the best player in the league, but not get credit for it due to how terrible everyone is on the complete opposite side of the ball. Its counterintuitive that a “most valuable player” has to be on a team with at least X number of other really good players across the board that collectively are capable of achieving Y level of success in order to qualify. Making that a criteria inherently makes said player less valuable in the grand scheme of things. On the flip side what if they did somehow make it with Dak playing at this level? Really good points about an individual award having so much dependence on team achievement.Yeah….I could get on a soapbox about that. Regardless, a 1AP selection would be huge for his legacy. When looking at things like benchmarks for the HoF, a 1AP selection generally gets the same reverence as an MVP award for a QB. Since 1974, there has been only one QB to be named 1AP more than once who is not in the HoF (or guaranteed to be in it when they finish playing). That one player is Rich Gannon, who had a weird career where he played for like a million years and had a lot of years between his two selections. Drew Brees is considered one of the all time GOATs and is a surefire first ballot HoF selection….was only 1AP one time. Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, and many others never did it. I hope Dak gets it.
Lol….that’s another soapbox topic.Dak is 24-25-1 against teams with a winning record. That's the elephant in the room which rears its ugly head in the playoffs because you face nothing but teams with winning records.
Sunday could push him to .500 and maybe be the start of something special.....I just can't help myself just a tortured brainwashed Cowboys diehard suffering from perpetual Stockholm syndrome ****
I agree W/L is also a team driven result but like it or not the QB gets most of the credit or the criticism as well as the salary cap.Lol….that’s another soapbox topic.
Is Dak 24-25-1 against teams with a winning record, or are the Dallas Cowboys 24-25-1 against teams with a winning record with Dak as a starting QB?
Looking at other really good QB’s who are maybe not yet HoF worthy that have tenure….Goff, Stafford, Hurts, etc….what are their records against teams with winning records? Talking about pretty much everyone except Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and maybe Josh Allen as well.
Isn’t 24-25-1 against teams with winning records still a hell of a lot better winning percentage than all other teams’ combined records against those same teams? I don’t have a math PhD….but I think if you add up the records of 50 teams that you know are all over .500, you’re gonna get a combined number of games over .500 that is a 17ton bigger than 1.
