There has been a ton of talk on here about what a "project" Robinson is. I came away from that video pretty encouraged. Quick feet, always in position, did very well against smaller, faster players. He didn't show a tendency to quit or give up and played through the whistle. Strength is the thing that really jumps out at you, but in my opinion that is the easiest thing to remedy. Especially with the job our strength staff does.

I hope we get that guy.

has him ranked as a Top 3 player in the state. Most have him #1. There just aren't many guys with that size, wingspan, and ability to move. All O-linemen are projects to a certain extent. He would be a great get for this staff.

This I agree with. If you do have an OL that's good enough to play as a true freshman, he's usually doing it all on athletic ability alone. OL is probably right behind behind QB in terms of the amount of time it takes to develop at the position. The majority of OL, even the good ones, can stand to take a redshirt.

If Robinson is a project, he's a project you take, because of his size and athleticism. You can't teach those things.

Yes, all linemen are projects...but you have Addison Lawrence projects and you have Donovan Davis projects. I realize nobody is expecting him to step in and start right away. It just seemed like there is a sentiment that he is nowhere near as talented as he is billed to be.

he had completely dropped off the majority of hotlists. It's no secret that what major offers he really had turned into kindling. He is definitely a better version of the kind of OL we typically have to focus on (good size and genetics but slow, flabby, poor footwork, under-conditioned, probably poorly coached). I think he's got a good upside with Balis cracking the whip on his fat *** and Hevesy getting in his earhole. But he could be another Calvin Wilson too.
