I'll be in Chi-town around New Years. It's my first visit. I don't post on here a lot but I think I've seen a few of you guys post from that area. Can y'all give me any insight on a State friendly bar or a State alumni viewing party etc. If you live there and don't know of any plans yet, let me know who you are so I can pm you closer to the game. I just want to get the best bowl game experience that day. I'm 26 and i'll be with a State student, ole miss student, ole miss alum, and umc alum, but they can all suck it. I'll be somewhere downtown. That's all I really know about the area and I know that doesn't really narrow it down.

Not sure of the name, but I know that the bar flies the MSU flag and caters to MSU fans by putting the games on the TV.....

I was there for the Egg Bowl, good times. They have our fight song, TVs on all the walls, good food.
The MSU crowd wasnt much, but we were told that its usually around 20 people there just for the games.

Oddly enough, its really an MSU bar. Mississippi State and Michigan State. Both flags fly out front.

Lars,

We should have a good crowd there for the Bowl Game. We do usually have about 20 State folks show up. When we played Houston on State's fall break we had a good number of students at the bar as well. It is only about a 10 minute cab ride from downtown Give me a shout if you need any additional info.
