I think the coaches know how to run practice by now and Croom could have been taking a call from Fedora or the La Monroe coach.

i'm not a croom sheep by any means... I want him to succeed because I'm a State fan, and he's our coach... there has to be some sort of personal circumstance that could allow him to do this.

-practices are, first, mostly led by assistant coaches and overseen by croom. i'm sure croom had the ability to delegate in a morning meeting what he wanted done.

-secondly, practices are videotaped, so i'm sure he'll go back and look at that and address several issues in tomorrows session.

i'm just offering a different perspective here... don't kill me...

...at my place of business every day, all day. However, when I am absent, I am conducting business outside of the property, for the best intrest of the property.. He was prolly doing the same thing. Jeez, give the man a little credit.

If the coordinator of recruiting operations was dropping him off, perhaps he was, oh, I dunno, doing some recruiting?

There's someone on BDB saying he was at Tupelo's practice. Applying pressure on Bumphis?

If he was catching an episode of Cash Cab then there might be a problem. If he was conducting other football related business then I don't see a problem.

In fact, I see no reason he would have to be at EVERY practice. No, he should not miss most or even a lot of practices but if he misses one here or there for other coaching duties I see no issues.

Besides, it is his job. He could skip every practice they have if they win 9 games who is going to care?

Plus, and I don't know this for a fact, but I think most Monday practices are conditioning related - lots of running and drills to "work out the kinks" from the Saturday game. The major game planning is done Tuesday - Thursday.

You think he was sitting on his couch popping cheesy poofs?

Seriously. I saw this article and said to myself, "how much longer until someone on the six pack is blasting him?" You ever think that he was doing something football related? You think that the recruiting coordinator dropping him off might be kind of a hint from Veazey? You think that head coaches don't occasionally miss some of practice if other duties need attending to? Do you think Croom is the only coach that does this? Are the rest of the staff not capable of conducting a practice?

and every little thing Croom does. Just stop. We get it already. You don't like Coach Croom. We get it. You, cunt34 and 85% of the people on this board don't like him. I hope he proves all you sumbitches wrong too. There is no greater ambassador we could have for our University than a winning Coach Croom, yet most of you dubmasses can't seem to grasp that. But hey, at least you are considered to be a cool message board poster on the sixpack. So you've got that going for you.

Everybody grasps that him being successful would be tremendous. The problem with that is- he is 17'ing terrible. We could all hold hands, sing Kumbaya and Hail State until gametime Saturday- but he will still suck and Auburn is still going to manhandle us upfront

/seriously... he was obviously making a recruiting trip. It's no big deal that he wasn't there. He'll look at all the tapes from practice just like he'd been there. Good grief.

I just WANT him to succeed. Many here, including yourself, don't. It just gets tiresome reading every other thread about some small insignificant thing Croom has done that day. It's kind of like how you like to post over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over about how ****** our offense looks. We get it already. Hell, we got it 10,000+ posts ago. Seriously, there HAS to be something else to ***** about.

He could win 7 games again this year and you would continue to talk about how terrible he is. You just dont like the guy and will continue to bash him any chance you get. I love how you make excuses for other teams when their offenses suck or something bad goes on but if it happens to croom you are raising hell all over the place. i am starting to wonder if you are just some racist hick from Louisiana that is still and we hired a black coach

thanks for clarifying your position on things. All this time I though that the incessant posting about how ****** you think Croom is was a joke. Your ability to post your opinion of Croom into every single thread is a mental feat akin to retard strength.

but it would make sense, given that Bumphis and his mom spent the weekend in Tuscaloosa getting the mafia treatment. They're going to take 3 more WRs and he's one they want.

....you are making a serious play to take over village idiot duties from Peaches.

"Rebounding Fundamentals"
"I hope we lose every game."
"Croom missed practice."

Not as consistent yet, but you're getting there.

Swat does need to work on his rebounding fundamentals instead of always going for the block
If you can't see that then oh well....
This will be a down year for our bball team..

I never said that I hope we lose every game, but we might not win many more this year in football.

I really don't care if Croom is at practice or not, it really won't make a difference this year...

We can win 4,5,7,8,9 games, it doesn't matter...
The point is that Croom is the worst head coach in the SEC.
Our offense is horrible and he is too stubborn to re-tool it...
We lost to LA Tech this year... LA Tech......

Last year was a fluke...
I hope we luck up again and beat Auburn, but I am not betting on it.
