ESPN ran some bowl projections and had two possible destinations.

Scenario 1: Nebraska vs Louisville in thr Orange Bowl

Scenario 2: Nebraska vs Florida in the Citrus Bowl

All I can say is if Nebraska is matched up against Louisville, it will be a mighty test for the Blackshirts and the whole team for that matter, but it would be great experience and a prominent bowl game.

Florida looks more manageable.

Jerry Palm from CBS has us in the Outback bowl on Jan 2nd which is more likely than the Citrus Bowl.
BIG has some rule about going to bowl no more than twice providing it isn't the Rose Bowl.
Nebraska has already played twice in the CapitalOne Citrus bowl when in interned the conference in 2011 and 2012.

May come down to the Orange Bowl picking between Wisconsin or Nebraska playing in the Orange Bowl against Louisville if we finish at least 10-2.

You have the rule misinterpreted. The (new) rules they have is no team will go to the same bowl two years in a row (not counting new years six and playoff games). So the Citrus can still take us because the rule is new and as long as the previous year we didnt go to it (going 3 years ago wouldnt count). There is also a goal to rotate teams through the different bowls, so there is a chance that even if you had a great year but barely missed the new years 6 you can wind up in the Pinstripe or some other lower end bowl.

No way a 9 or 10 win B1G team ends up in a lower tier bowl.

Too many good bowl alliances to let that happen.

Thanks for clearing that up.
