I would say this looks exactly like our normal teams minus the dominant post presence. Up until last year the knock on our girls team was always mediocre shooting. And lazy passes, unfortunately, are just part of the women’s game due to talent levels. Outside of a true big inside, which the girls are still adjusting to playing without, they look like the rest of Dawn’s teams lately.
They have generally looked dominant in the second halves of games, but the slow starts will eventually catch up to them against good teams.
It seemed to me Dawn put in a group that probably was not best equipped to deal with the run by Mizzou starters and made them play the way she wanted. And they eventually responded with a 10 point lead at the half. But you're right, they did look flat-footed and kind of lazy for a while. She was coaching.
Never post negatively about this team midway through the game. We won a conference game on the road by 30 somthing. We almost had 7 players in double digits. This was an *** whipping.
Well, we started slow at UCLA and got our @$$e$ whipped embarrassingly. People were stunned by that and now get apprehensive and agitated when they see us not clicking. The languid starts have been routine this year. People don't like that, either.
