What did you think of the yellow/gold in their uniform Sunday? I didn't like them. Yellow and Garnet is not a good match. Why yellow?

We've worn them multiple times this year. It's an ode to Cocky with the yellow beak and feet. The warm ups also have a cartoonish Cocky drawn by Kevin Roche.

It’s a special Cocky uniform. I believe the first time they wore them they also wore yellow shoes.

Cocky is not an official mascot of the school, he is a cartoon character created to entertain the crowd. Yellow is not a school color, why put it in a uniform combination? Why not have the team wear fake beaks if they want to "honor Cocky"?

Not a fan. If they want to have a tribute to cocky, just put his cartoon image on the uniform somewhere. Yellow isn't one of our colors. When we win our third national title this year, I don't want to do it in Iowa State uniforms.

Actually they have worn them twice including Sunday. Perhaps one other time that I don’t remember. I like them actually. They look pretty good up close. My favorite is the black away uniform actually.
