WBK vs #8 Oklahoma

[Dawgg]

Playing tough, but can’t get any shots to fall. Down 8-2 halfway through the first quarter.

[HotMop]

Slowest start I've seen from them.

[HotMop]

1-15 from the field will do that.

[Dawgg]

Ok, bad contested shots, bad passing, no ball movement, one on one streetball, 2 of 19 from the field… now this looks like a Purcell team.

21-8 OU at the end of the first.

We’ve been beating up on terrible teams all season. Purcell needs to toughen up our non conference schedule. Playing half the SWAC does nothing to prepare us for SEC play.

Feel better now that you can ***** about our team and our coach?

[Dawgg]

Looking better in the last few minutes.

[Ranchdawg]

Our team playing like we are in awe of the starting 5 McDonalds All Americans. Need to settle down and play our game. We are shooting too hard.

[Susanp62]

We play better when Beers? and the other really big white girl are on the bench.

What are you talking about? I’ve remarked all season that there’s noticeable difference in our offense and ball movement this season vs other seasons. We’ve just regressed in this game to how we’ve looked in previous seasons with a lot of one touch possessions and hero ball. Could be panic against a superior opponent, but we just look bad.

Believe me, I would much rather we weren’t playing like sнit against a top 10 team.

[Dawgg]

19% from the field right now.

[BoDawg.sixpack]

Getting blown off the court. 47-22

[Dawgg]

Well that was awful.

48-22 OU at the half.

[DesotoCountyDawg]

That soft as Charmin Non conference schedule lifted everyone’s spirits.

[HotMop]

We are a decent club, but the disparity between Top 10 good and decently good is huge in women's basketball.

[Ranchdawg]

We are letting them run over us. Why aren't we getting them to foul us?

[Ranchdawg]

Their center is the best women's basketball player I've seen in years. #1 in double doubles this year.

[dog99walker]

This game is an indicator of how young we are. Nwaedozi’s defense is unable to stop anyone. Where is McPhal? No offense or defense from her. But Oklahoma is really good. Their defense has pushed us off our spots. Lampley and Francis have a lot to learn. On the positive side, a good azs whipping is sometimes the best teacher. We have to work harder.

Sounds like he needs to toughen up our team.

I've been thinking the same. The lazy lob passes are being picked off and the OU girls are down the court shooting uncontested layups. Watching film the girls will realize they were shooting too hard and not playing their game.

[dog99walker]

Being at home is easier for young players. We have a few days to work on mistakes a watch game film and three of our next four games are at home.

[BulldogBlitz]

Hopefully we are out there recruiting the OU players. The lack of crowd says they really dont care about that sport.

[BonzoGoesToCollege]

They don’t even try to box out and rebound. Just crappy basketball from what looks like an uncoached team.

Yep, how many McDonald's All Americans do we have on our roster? Their Center makes up for a lot of mistakes.

[Dr Strangelove]

Purcell is as lost as his team is right now. Stands around with his arms folded because he doesn’t know what to tell them.

[dawgphd]

He is staring at 1-7.

[BonzoGoesToCollege]

14 buckets, got outrebounded by 30. 1-25 from 3.

[Dogdazey]

There is a correct way and a bunch of incorrect ways to do all the little things it takes to win in basketball. We don’t do the correct way as much as we do the “easy” way. This is a continued process for a few years now.

[MSUDOG24]

That was one of our big wins (top 10 then too) at home last year, certainly remember their HC as well . Disappointing we'd lay that big of an egg this year.
Be fun to see OK and Iowa State face off at some point to watch Beers and Audi Crooks go at it. Those are a couple of large (and athletic) folks.

[She Mate Me]

I doubt this game is an indicator of our women being this bad. Occasionally you play really bad and if it happens on the road against a really good team you can get embarrassed real quick.

Anybody remember a pretty good Mississippi State women's team getting beat by 60 in a Sweet 16 game? They almost won a national championship the next season.

I kinda think a game like this early may do them some good. It was always really likely to be a loss. And that's what it is, one loss.

[Dawg1976]

Lost 95 -47? Who we’re all these did **** teams they have been beating bad?
