I can appreciate anyone who supports their alma mater, but this Bozich article reveals his huge bias for IU, one that has been on display for decades. If he was the IU beat writer it would be understandable, but his love of IU goes well beyond that, when recognizing how he takes every opportunity to be critical of UL. Berger played locally at Sacred Heart, and deserves the acknowledgment of her positive contribution to IU women’s basketball.

We all know Bozich is a hack and his articles should be viewed with skepticism, but he is not the only one. Unfortunately a lot of the B1G schools like Indiana have a large journalism school and we are victims of their bias. Remember when Louisville and West Virginia were both nationally ranked and they played each other in a high scoring duel. The Crap Journal reported it as a game between two teams that played very little defense. However, when Ohio State and Michigan played each other a couple of weeks later in a high scoring duel the Crap Journal reported it as an instant classic. The only thing we can do as Louisville fans is don’t buy their product or listen and call into their talk shows.

It wasn’t just the C-J. I remember E$PN clowning the Big East for years. The UofL-WVU game was scoffed at on College Game Day. Weeks later the O$U-Michigan game was dubbed “One For The Ages”.

The “Fake News” that has been attributed to political discourse over these last several decades in our country, is alive and well in the Sports World, evidenced by what we see and hear from ESPN, CBS, ABC and NBC. It’s one thing to express individual opinions when presenting news and editorials; but now it includes silencing and ignoring legitimate news events that disagree with these mainstream outlets.

Between Louisville and Lexington, the local journalist and those who purportedly provide the local news will do everything possible to attack UL, and treat UK as royalty beyond criticism.
