Team that is. Can't wait for Bobby to retire. The bad thing about that is that he's pushing for TP to replace him.

that Bobby is the reason the Braves are not winning, then you know nothing about MLB. That is like saying the Yankees win the world series because of their head coach.

that he isn't pushing for Brian Snitker. To me he's the logical pick. I don't know how Terry Pendleton would do at managing, but he might be OK. If you don't like him, at least he wouldn't be the hitting coach anymore. That might mean that Phil Wellman gets a shot at hitting coach.

Don't mean to be a dick, but it irritates me when people dismiss the importance of coaches. Just like a CEO, they are vitally important to the success of their organization. To think otherwise is foolish.

coaching doesn't matter, but I really think it has more to do with what players you have. Who has the highest payroll in MLB as far as players? There you will find the most success. There are exceptions, but most of the time the Championships are bought.

Look at Atlanta's payroll difference now compared to when they were competing for NL championships. Since Ted gave up the team, they(Disney-I think) are not going to put the payroll out there for the players like the Yankees or Red Sox will. That is the problem. To blame Bobby for that is stupid.

2010 Payrolls

Look at the Cubs compared to the Braves, $146 million to $84 million. I'm not going to even compare them with the Yankees. Middle of the pack here at 15th highest.

1999 Payrolls

Here the Braves are 3rd highest. Only 12 million less than the Yankees.

If you want to call me a fool for thinking that this has more to do with winning than the head coach/CEO, knock yourself out.

that have been quoted as saying Eddie Perez will get serious consideration. He knows the pitching staff well and has been around the club for so many years. Personally, I'd be fine with that pick.

Color me as not that impressed with the job Pendleton has done as hitting coach. My favorite candidate would have to be Fredi Gonzalez, if he has any interest in coming back.

But remember, Ted doesn't own the team. If he did the games would still be on TBS and he would be getting high caliber players, not some washed up players who are injury prone. He also would've told Bobby to hang it up a a few years ago. One thing in Bobbys defense is h can only play the players he is given. It's run by a corporation with an idiot president who is calling the shots. The other name being mentioned is Ned Yost, another good choice. But don't be too suprised if TP is the next manager.
