I would posit it relates to gate potential versus that of other teams with better records.

If someone provided you with a list of each team's stats, minus the name of the teams, I think you would be hard pressed to say that our stats (rpi, sos, wins and losses, etc.) were not deserving of a top 16 seed. Yes, the "whole body of work" should count in my opinion and that is apparently what the selection committee saw as well. Just hope we can come out of the slump and make some noise next weekend....

They only had a 92 SOS. That is by far the worst of all the other teams with an RPI of 30 or better. They played Duke twice and lost both and beat NC in one game......played no one else from the ACC or SEC. The only other ranked teams they played were Coastal and ECU. They might be a decent team but that is the reason they are not hosting.
