I don't think realize what our guys have been through the last two weeks. They're clearly not ready to play. Yeah, we look like hell, but get off the damn ledge.

We got people saying it's amazing we've won a single game to essentially saying we would be better off with crooms tonight. What a joke.

MSU has looked awful with two weeks to prepare for this. True we endured a lot with the loss of Bell, but when you have that much time to heal and prepare and you field this 'pedestrian' offense and tackle this poorly it's obvious that we are still 2nd tier.
We caught several teams without their better players. We got lucky in several games. Hell, the only reason we won at Florida was on their missed field goal - not because we iced the game like a group of bad-*** Outback/Gator/Capitol One bowlers.
Alabama is just that much ahead of us... despite the even records.

you just discredited our entire season and all the progress we've made because of three quarters on the road at Alabama after a devastating death to a team member.

Was either to caught up in the game emotionally or dumb.

1. They are a very talented and physical team. With what we do on offense, that is not a good match up for us.

2. Our offensive strength plays to their defensive strength. So quess who wins? The team with more talent.

3. We need turnovers. We did not get them. We need the big play. We did not get them because of 1 & 2.

So we lose. Not because of Mullen or an Indian burial ground. We played a more talented team and got zero breaks.

I know it sucks for you guys in MS who have to listen to all the trailer trash Crimson necks brag. But what can you do....for some ....the success and failure of 85 young black men is all some people have. Be glad you have something they don't.....common sense and perspective.

I had to jump right on that in my pick 'em league. Emotions aside, it was easy to see something like this coming.

That said...I'm pulling for State to make a late rally to cover the spread anyway no matter what I picked.

I realize we have to work with what we have, but he has to find a way to get our offense to progress.

Great job by the defense shutting down the run for most of the first half.

I don't feel that we gave our best shot in this game. But it's over. We've got another big one next week.

we have lost one of our best receivers and our best return guy in Leon Berry, we have lost our tight end for the season, and yep we lost our DE in a tragic and emotional way. Stuff happens to all teams every year. However, it is not often that a team loses one of its own. Two weeks to prepare for Bama AND for the loss of Nick is nowhere near the time that is needed. Your post is distasteful in that it has the tone of diminishing what death can do. I know you probably did not mean it that way but it reads that way. With or without the loss of the players I mentioned (including Nick) we were probably not going to win this game. I do believe though we would have played much better if this tragedy had not happened.

You don't get over the loss of a friend in two weeks. Some people never get over the loss. These guys have dealt with a lot in 12 days and today, Nick's mother met the bus. I can only imagine what that scene must have been.

We didn't play well. We didn't make any breaks, we didn't catch any breaks. We got screwed out of a safety and Alabama got penalized how many times?
