We are no better today than day Joker was fired

I truly thought anyone would be an upgrade over Joker, and then Mark Stoops walked through the door. This team doesn't do one thing above average. Not one single thing. We are terrible in every aspect of the game.

wait, didn't a bunch of money have to be borrowed for all those improvements??? so team-wise, yeah no better. but when you factor in all that debt isn't it a lot worse??

We have better players with the same results.
Joker was a better coach, he had worse players.

Both of the first two posters are correct.

And you know what? If Spurrier had just run the ball against us 2 years ago, I'm not sure that we would have much at all to point to as positives in the Stoops era.

Definitely a worse team. I'm not even sure we have upgraded talent. Maybe in terms of how many stars each guy got out of high school but those stars are meaningless in the games.

This seems as bad a team as I can remember (I'm 29). We just don't look good in any phase of the game. It has to be coaching at this point.

Yep, its pretty bad. Will get worse before it gets better. Will be lucky to win two games this year.

There will still be fans riding the fence or still buying in to this crap, even after this debacle today. I truly don't get it.

no it was donated. Kentucky cant borrow money without the governments approval.

The team lost faith in Stoops last year... ... then you could just watch the faith in Stoops crumble back to sh*t and ashes the 2nd half of the USM game. This team has given up on Stoops.

This is like Joker and Bill Curry coming back and putting a game plan together. After the game Stoops will say we will return to practice and work harder

100 % correct

Any coach in the country at almost any level, heck, even maybe any poster on here can get these same results.

There's a reason Ohio State and Cincinnati didn't bat an eye when we started landing all these Ohio recruits, they aren't very good and Stoops and staff are worse.

I have to disagree.
We're def not very good. But joker was winning two games.
Stoops at least took us from two wins to five
But we are still not a disciplined team.
We may even be worse than last year.
Barker looks terrible this game.
What is the answer?

We definitely have better talent. Joker could have won games with this offense. Too bad Stoops freezes up and cannot coach under pressure. He is a coordinator....that is all he ever should be. When he is fired from Uk he will never be a head coach again.

Stoops will be lucky to win two games this year as well. No better!

they spent something like $130mil, I doubt they got that donated.
It was approved by the legislature to pay for it and other upgrades to the campus with bonds. They were able to leverage various revenue streams to pay for it. The revenues from the football program accounted for most of it. The Athletic essentially funded 360 million in upgrades to the campus including new dorms and a new science building. That's 360 million most of which came from revenues from the athletic department. I don't think a 12 million buyout is out of the ball park.

How can an SEC team look this bad? The coaches and team act like they have no clue what do yo do on the field. This team is not even watchable, I'm turning the channel over to the sewing channel, way more exciting.

right. bond, that's debt. to be paid w future ath dept revenue. obviously sec deal ensures a lot of that revenue. but we are now NOT in as good of shape financially. whatever recruiting upside results from the facilities is now negated by the horrible performance of the coachng staff.
