9 wins last season is keeping lots of folks optimistic. They are pointing to 6 in a row last season and thinking it is going to happen again.
These people don't recognize that the teams we beat last season were having awful seasons and are much better this year.

Imo, the 6 wins aren't convincing me that it might happen again. They just bought a certain amount of "goodwill", etc.

They would have never ever hired Beamer in the first place. I'm not hating on Beamer. I think the jury is still out to determine how good he is or isn't. Beamer would have never been on their hire lists. In fact, I'm not sure what HC jobs he was ever considered for. Doubtful any other P5 schools.
He should have started out at East Tennessee State or similar. But since everything has always just been handed to him because of Daddy there's a little bit of entitlement going on. ETSU? That's kind of beneath a Shane Beamer, isn't it?
