There is a never ending supply of beautiful girls walking around the junction on any game day. I always laugh when I hear Ole Miss fans say we don't have hot girls. But I also laugh at most everything else they say about state.

As I've always said, 99% of the OM grown men who hype up the OM women have gf/wives who don't live up to the beauty standards that they affiliate with their school. It's freaking creepy. Seriously, look at the old guys doing it on Twitter and then look at their dual avi's. The flip-side is that guys I know who went to OM and married/dated great looking women don't spout it off like it makes them better but I guess it's because they don't have too.
We suck at football but Oxford is so cool and look at all the good things people write about us. Gotta love OM. Keep getting a chubby about seeing Oxford in the ny times and we will keep competing for national titles. But look on the bright side, when you aren't holding klan rallies and protest against the black president, people love you.
That they would brag about whatever that was that Kate Perry did on their big day is telling.
Too bad they couldn't hold up their end and beat those terrible LSU, Auburn and Arkansas teams that we handled no problem so this game would have two relevant teams playing for the egg...

Every single thing he listed about Ole Miss is about Oxford. Oxford is Proud Larry's, Thacker Mountain Radio, Fat Possum Records, the Southern Foodways Alliance, Square Books, and James Beard Foundation winners.
Taking credit for that is like claiming Jackson State IS Eudora Welty, Historic Belhaven neigbhorhood, every Fondren restaurant, The Help, Richard Wright, Wyatt Waters, etc.
It's ludicrous to attribute those things as a part of what makes up the University. The article typifies the delusion that simply having attended Ole Miss you have somehow separated yourself from the common man. You may be an out-of-work, illiterate, but by stepping foot on campus and calling yourself a Rebel, you have positioned yourself above all others.
And here's the thing about State, every single thing that happens in Starkville is directly related to the student body working hard to make their university and it's home a better place. Bulldog Bash is a student run event (unlike Double Decker). State students don't arrive on campus ready to receive their medal, they arrive and work to make it a better place than it was when they got there.

Usually folks that have to convince others about how great they are and how much they don't care, but do care, about a perceived inferior don't actually measure up to their over-inflated self-image.

The writer is too stupid to realize that The Help made his parents and grandparents look bad. But in his mind those were awesome times
I chuckled to myself the entire time I read this, because I couldn't help but thinking about John Cohen's "Cool is the Enemy" speech that he gives when speaking to youth organizations.
If you've never heard the speech, it boils down to this: People who are worried about being cool are focused on the wrong thing and have their priorities screwed up. People worried about being cool are rarely successful in life. Those who are a success get up early, work hard, and raise their families, they don't have time to worry about being cool. Cool is the enemy of success.

As a lover of food, that's the one that really got me.
Damn, State just improves the agriculture that makes producing the food possible. We need a bunch of effete posers in Oxford to "stage symposia, produce documentary films, collect oral histories, sponsor scholarship, mentor students, and publish great writing" about food that already exists without their involvement.

Football- this year or '98 when we won the west. This year trumps if we get in the playoff. pre-integration is insignificant to me.
Basketball- the '96 final four team
Baseball- take your pick of 20 great teams for the diamond dawgs. Last year finals team trumps everything.
