I'm hoping that he transfers before next year. We certainly need to pull any

scholly money that he is getting. He serves no purpose other than to help us lose games.

I agree but the game was lost when we brought in ct with holder and girodo available. That was perhaps the dumbest coaching move by a state coach ever.

In Norris' defense, the guy was pitching his second inning in over two years.

I'm not blaming him, it's Cohen's fault. Darryl was a decent pitcher two years ago but they didn't use him last year, even before he was injured and then didn't use him this year til this week against ORU. I think Darryl can help us next year on the hill.

You need to shut the 17 up. Daryl is a good humble kid and I am proud that he is representing Mississippi State. If you don't think he should play fine but saying he should have his scholly pulled and he serves no purpose on the team makes you sound like a douche. Daryl had a great freshman year and was having a good sophomore campaign until his injury. Remember the kid has not pitched in a year and is still hitting 93 on the gun. Some injuries take longer to heal physically and mentally than others. This off season will do him a world of good. Also, Cohen has put him in some awful situations. A lot of his at bats have been late inning pinch hit situations. It is tough to come off the bench and hit a 90+ mile an hour fastball cold.

... you sure haven't watched much MSU sports if you think that was the dumbest coaching move ever...

Cohen did nothing last night he hasn't done all year. We've won some with those decisions, we've lost some. Our fans need to grow up...

Did he pitch any last year? I don't think he did. Cohen said that Darryl

came to him and asked to go to the bp. I applaud the kid. He wa nts to play and wants to contribute how he can. I just think it was a bad move to put Darryl in that situation with so much on the line and with him having pitched so little.

Completely agree. That move, and a lot of others Cohen made last night, just made no sense at all. Cohen's done a good job for us, but one of his weaknesses is he overmanages and takes a lot of wild gambles. Last night he got burned by them.

Can't see why you would transfer for one year. He will get considerable pt next

year. He could get a ton of work on the hill. He's got decent stuff.

He might have changed his mind now that they're giving him a chance on the mound, but he wasn't happy about never getting a shot at 3rd. The only times he did get a shot he came in as a pinch hitter and swung cold.

I know he struggled at the plate but I still can't help but think he can hit the

baseball. He's was very good last year before he was injured. No reason he can't be that good again.
