We continue to be horrific in olympic sports.

Soccer - started the year 7-0 against what I can only presume was a Stansbury-like non-conference schedule. Then tied South Carolina 0-0 in the first SEC game. Lost seven straight since. Total goals scored in conference play: 2, both against Vandy in a 4-2 loss. That's right, we have a scoreless tie and six shutout losses. Is Crxxms coaching soccer? We running West Coats Offense there too?

Volleyball - opened up 4-5 in the non-conference, with a couple of 3-0 whitewashes against some ranked teams. Then SEC play rolled around, and we are pulling a soccer, going 0-7 thus far to get to 4-12 (0-7). Total games won in seven SEC matches: 4, two against LSU, one each against Mississippi and Georgia. Those three matches were consecutive, so perhaps that was considered "a streak" by our standards.

How are we looking in Softball and Tennis?

Track will be up this year. Hopefully we can stay healthy down the stretch from Regionals to Nationals.

The soccer coach really needs to go. I have had some dealings with him as my

daughter was involved in Select and ODP for many years and I just think we could do better.
He is too plugged into the ODP and Select programs which you think would be a good thing
but sadly there is a lot of cronyism and he plays into it which results in not getting the best players
in our programs but the players whose parents and kids sacrificed for and supported the select and ODP programs.

No, I'm not a ******** parent, its just the facts.

Aren't we good in track?

And if soccer is considered an Olympic sport, I assume tennis is, too, and we're very good at that. "Horrific" seems like a gross exaggeration.

Softball looks improved

We lost a leadoff hitter Ka'ili and Bell (5yr OF) that contributed a lot.

We get a good pitcher from UGA, from a transfer
We should be competitive in pitching for sure this year.

Hopefully the hitting improves
Pitching and Defense should be enough to get us to a regional
We just have to see if the hitting improves enough to get us a host or what

This team is better than last years.

0-14 combined for soccer and volleyball is horrific. Men's tennis, yes, we are good. I should have been more clear in the title, that our WOMEN'S olympic sports are horrific. Throw women's tennis in there. They are 5-73 in the SEC over the last seven years, with no more than one SEC win in any of those years.

The big 3 sports need sustained success first. Football is the cash cow, basketball has the ability to not cost us money, and baseball brings in donations. We've shored up the profit draining sport, baseball, but we lost basketball big time.

Playing teams like OSU in an ESPN kickoff game and things like that help so that we can fire our soccer coach and volleyball coach for sucking ***.

For what it's worth I heard Hazelwood is getting the boot in the next couple of weeks.

Girls play sports?

It's a good thing the girls are losing. If they started winning, they'd get the big head and think they're equal to men and then the next thing you know they're girlfriends to a bunch of bulldyke WNBA fans.

The girls losing ensures their self-worth and self-esteem comes from either their fathers, brothers, or husbands, where it should properly be.

Well, I can't speak on MS Select/ODP but he has a number of players from the best soccer club in the Memphis area. Now these players we have; were they the cream of the Lobos crop? I don't know. But with that said, usually the best teams out of Memphis, rarely advance beyond the Region III tournament and to the Nationals. Which Region III is almost all the states of the SEC. So, if the clubs in our area, of which we sign players, can't defeat the club teams in the surrounding states, which other SEC teams recruit, then there is part of your problem.

Congrats to those Lobos girls for being as succesful as they have been at the youth level. I hope they can continue to do so as they become upper classmen for State.

We are about to have an influx of $10-15million this year in increased tv revenue from the additions of A&M and Missouri. We should be able to afford competent coaches in all sports.
