Tom Herman in 2011. we could have had him for 3-4 years. he would have recruited well for us (who wouldn't have). Much better game day coach (who isn't). I realize he would have probably moved on to a bigger program with succes, but it could have at least set us up for another coach who would have realized the potential of a B1G school in NJ. Instead we are left with a tarnished program with a disgruntled fan base and no hope for recovery for several years. Thanks to Flood and TP.

Well Urban Meyer came in and made him an OC even though we just humiliated them in the bowl game. Clearly he saw something.
Big difference. He went from OC to OC. What you're suggesting is we fire a coach that just won a bowl game and promote a coordinator from the team he beat. I'm one of the biggest anti-Flood's on here, but even I think that's a stretch.
