We dodged a huge bullet tonight, but we won the damn game.

Ask Steve Spurrier and Mack Brown about coaching the week after a huge upset win. We played like ****, but these players sucked it up and won the game in the 4th quarter. A LOT of MSU teams in the past would have lost this game. I expect us to play better next week and I expect us to beat Kentucky.

..which was needed in the absence of Ballard.

Plus the field goal kicking was way above average, which was literally the deciding factor in the game.

You are right. I have no doubt that Mullen will take a long look at his pitiful play calling, and he'll also crawl Diaz's ***. The team definitely will get a wake up call at practice this week.

Other than the fact we won, that is. I was really impressed with all 3.

We've both won and lost tough games over the years. When Coach Mullen loses one, that won't diminish his coaching ability, just his prestige.

One thing is for sure; winning is always tough. And it's seldom (or even never) guaranteed.
