I really don't see any reason why would keep Stans if he didn't make the tournament.

So the changes in staff card has already played itself. Stans is a micro-manager anyway. He handcuffs his assistant including his strength & conditioning coach. I know there has been a lot said about Coach Akins but he can only do what he's allowed to do.

To answer your question, my opinion of the AD won't change. C34, prior to the edit answered "spineless." What a crock of ****. It will take backbone to fire him and backbone to keep him.

Would our assistants stay. Probably not if we want to change the whole agenda for the BBall program. Also our women's BBall coach is retiring. So if we fire Stans this year we will have to completely restart our whole BBall program from scratch. It sounds appealing, but also very intimidating. If I could put it off a year I totally would.

I'd be disappointed if he didn't pull the trigger after missing the tournament with what most say has been one of Stans' most talented teams. Add on top of that the issues off the court last season and it is really hard for him to not make this decision. It may actually be harder for him to keep Stans than to fire him because if he makes a great hire, he gets to enjoy the accolades. If he keeps Stans, then he has a pretty high chance that we will see more of the same and then he'll look like he waited too long and will have to deal with that all year long.
